Pudsey the dog beats hot favourites Jonathan Antoine and Charlotte Jaconelli to win the UK's 'Britain's Got Talent' Final 2012.

After a week of live semi Finals, Saturday night's hotly-contested Britain's Got Talent Final was won by Pudsey the dancing dog and his owner Ashleigh Butler. A beaming Simon Cowell (who has always dreamed of a dog winning the Competition), announced, "My life's work is now complete," as Pudsey the dog forced hot favourites Jonathan Antoine and Charlotte Jaconelli into second place with a fautless dance performance to the accompaniment of the Mission Impossible theme tune. In the Britain's Got More Talent show immediately after the Winner's Announcement, three out of the four judges' sealed envelopes revealed they'd tipped Jonathan and Charlotte to win. Surprise third place went to Welsh Boys' Choir Only Boys Aloud. Susan Boyle gave a performance of Madonna's 'You'll See', and Former champions: dance troupe 'Diversity' (the act who beat her into second place in the 2009 final), also gave a spirited performance. Pudsey, the Border Collie/Bichon Frise/Chinese Crested cross, became a huge favourite with UK viewers and especially with Simon Cowell who remarked: “You are one of my favourite ever acts. Anyone who can be cruel to animals is totally sick, and this is inspirational. I adore both of you, and to do what you did was a miracle." Despite having promised to get up and dance on stage with any dog which won the contest, Simon got cold feet, but did get up on-stage to give the pooch a big Cowell cuddle! Several of the finalists can be assured promising future careers as a result of the competition, but the prize of £500,000 (and the opportunity to perform in front of The Queen at this year's Royal Variety Performance), is tonight in the hands of Pudsey's delighted owner, 17-year-old Ashleigh Butler from Ilford in Essex. The Series appears to have been a tremendous success, with new judge: Little Britain star David Walliams's much-publicised 'Bromance' with Simon Cowell proving to be a real vote winner.
